Filed under: Introduction — parto @ 12:55 pm

Even though Kenya’s tourism sector was highly affected due to the post election violence ,the sector has been doing well due to the publicity that has been going on by the minister of Tourism Hon Najib Balala  who was selected the Africa Tourism Minister of the year award ,after he emerged top of seven other tourism ministers who had been shortlisted for the award during the Africa Tourism Investors Summit and award Gala in Mozambique.

The Gala was held on friday 27th feb 2009 at the Joachim Chesano Conference Centre in Maputo. The summit was opened by the Mozambian president H.E  Armando Emilio Gubuza. The continental tourism event was organised by the International Pan-African Investment group,Africa Investor (AI) in partnership with the Mozambique  government, the International World Tourism Organisation ( UNWTO ) and the international Finance corporate  ( World Bank Group)  and Nepad.

This is a good sign of us selling our country not only locally or other African countries but globally.
